Challenge#4:"Black and White with just a hint of Color"

Hello Friends ,

This week Challenge is Black and White with just a hint of Color!!
I choose to give a Bottle makeover with the die cuts that was included in my goodie bag.

t

Firstly after cleaning the bottle with hot water and doing away with the stickers I started sponging Black gesso all over it to give it the Black background ! Yes black gesso gives an awesome coverage and a sheen as good as black board paint after it dried up.

Used the Mr & Mrs die cut for making the scene on the bottle . After the modge podged die cut dried completely I have used the star stencils and textured the star scene with the texture paste , my son joined in adding a few little stars with the texture paste... its more like a cake icing !!

I have tried to get a antique look on the bottle cap with black paint and tarnished brass distress paint .

The butterfly dies cut is painted with abandoned coral distress paint to add in the Hint of colour in the Black and white scene ! On the bottle neck I have added white and gold paper rope to add in more of a look!

It was totally fun making this scene on the bottle !! I hope my creation inspires you to create something beautiful.

Here's my First GDT post for Craftyscrappers

you can either use a rainbow die cut out, a rainbow stamp,or a rainbow colored background,or anything related to rainbow designs/colors for this challenge.
You can make a card,an altered item,a mixed media, a tag..or anything of your choice!!!

I went on to make a card with stamping using my Avery Elle - Bright Days stamp set !

Used my Memento ink set for the rainbow colours and added the scallop circles for the clouds around with the sizzix border die cuts (Brand New Sizzix Thinlits Borders by Stephanie Bernard 7 Die Cuts Set )
 for the lover border!

Christmas theme altered Bottle

Hello friends ,
I have been in love with the altered bottles and trying out new styles with them ! My latest creation being the Christmas themed Bottle with texture paste and Snowflakes

The first step was to obtain some empty bottles. I needed to remove the labels. Soaking the bottles in hot water makes this step much easier than trying to scrape dry labels off the bottle. After all the labels were off, and the bottle no longer smelled like alcohol, I let it dry over night.

I gathered my supplies.-
Modge Podge matte finish ,
Fevicryl blue and Gold paint
ready made fabric lace
washi tape -blue glitter
ranger texture paste
cssm stars stencil
silver glitter
Snow flake punch

I started with sponging the bottle with white gesso and once it was dry , painted it with blue acrylic paint and then just let the gold paint with excess water flow on the bottle in uneven order! Used the stencils with the texture paste  and silver glitter all over the bottle to form the required design!

Once it dried I added the fabric lace and the washi tape! Layered the punched snowflakes on each other for them to stand out , i needed it turn out thick so used 4 layers of snow flakes  modpodged on them , finally giving me the desired thickness !

I love the way the bottle turned out and added twilight into it just created the magic I wanted to create!!

Hope you like the project I created for the

Share Handmade Kindness Challenge week 4

Hello Friends ,

I  recently contributed these cards to the group "Cards for a Cause" as a part of "Friends Friend" initiative !

A wonderful lady is battling Breast Cancer.
Chemo has taken its toll on her and she is basically very low.
So we got together to send some encouragement or funny cards her way !!

I thought of making it special rather than sending one card so I got on to make seven cards indicating a card a day :)

Each card is unique in its own way ,
here I have used a PP for back drop from penny black Coco style paper pad  and layered it with scallop circles , added hand stamped and fussy cut sentiments from the jillibean Word Bubbles stamp set! Finally added an telephone chipbaord cut out from Maya road .

For this card have used the card stock as Brown and layered with pattern papers and hand stamped the image ! I have added along a tim holtz tattered flower with an Brad and butterfly.

Here I have used two layers of different coloured card stock and PP. The stamped dress is Hot out of press fancy dress

This card is more of sticker card from everyday life set from the local store I had been hoarding it for years now

The rainbow card is my favourite these days and made sure I added a cloud PP

This card is dry embossed and distress inked and added a sentiment along a flower

Finally my favourite card I have blogged about here

I have used a white card stock and water coloured it with pink and purple. Stamped the pretty Atumn Splendor stamp from WRMK on the water coloured layer after it dried  hand cut it like a window and added it over a black card stock !
Hand stamped the sentiments along the few flowers and added a ribbon to go with it !!

If you are a card maker and would like to contribute for a cause by sending a card, "Cards for a Cause" FB group would be a good place to start!

week4
I enjoyed making it :)
Hope you like it...
Thanks

Prima Girl Card

Hello Friends ,
Today I am sharing a creation I made for a lovely little friend ! She crafts herself so I needed to take care to make it more special !

I have used a 300 gsm card stock here from the local printers which has the texture and sturdiness of the Iris Card stock . I have used a part of the DCWV pattern paper as the background and layered it with stamped image of the Primal doll !

The prima doll is again layered with a pink pattern paper as a dress and water coloured. I have added a punched teddy bear with the doll.... I made sure the teddy bear gets a lovely face and an heart button added to his tummy, this seemed the more fun part of this creation !

I have die cut  the Tim Holtz tattered flowers with dcwv pattern papers and put them together with lovely Brads!

Behind of the card I have used a 6x4 die cut card and added handwritten sentiment to go with it! This is a all time Hit with the kids :)

Pattern papers are my all time favourites , you can see me use them from background to on stamped doll and the flowers  too

Here is how I made this lovely card for the little girl who was totally in love seeing this creation :)
